DESCRIPTION:The First Unitarian Society of Plainfield\, 724 Park Avenue Plainfield will show the riveting documentary MAKING A KILLING: GUNS\, GREED AND THE NRA on Friday\, March 9\, 2018 at 7 pm as part of the Free Second Friday Film Series. The film is co-sponsored by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America -Union County and the YWCA Union County. \nMAKING A KILLING tells the stories of how guns\, and the billions made off them\, affect the lives of everyday Americans. It features personal stories from people across the country who have been affected by gun violence\, including survivors and victims’ families. The film exposes how the powerful gun companies and the NRA are resisting responsible legislation for the sake of profit.   \nThis film was planned by the sponsors several months ago and\, tragically\, its showing could not be timelier. All are welcome to come to this free film and join in a thoughtful community conversation following the film.
