SUMMARY:Roseland Community Action Day
DESCRIPTION:Roseland Against the Compressor Station (RACS) is hosting a community day\, at the VFW near the Williams/Transco natural gas compressor station on Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland\, and at the compressor-station site itself. In the morning\, RACS members plan to take part in a Roseland Borough Council-organized cleanup of a nature trail behind Roseland Noecker Elementary School. Then a pizza/pot-luck lunch will be held at the local VFW at 12:30\, followed by a short march to the compressor-station site\, where there will be a rally with speakers and music including\nRoseland Mayor James Spango\,\nCarolyn Elefant (Livingston native and community rights lawyer)\,\nSister Danelle McCarthy (of Dominican Sisters of Caldwell)\,\nCassandra Worthington (Roseland resident and Food and Water Watch member)\,\nJeff Tittel (NJ Sierra Club)\,\nTina Weishaus (350NJ)\,\nTed Glick (Roseland Against the Compressor Station)\,\nPaula Rogovin (Don’t Gas the Meadowlands)\, and\nthe Solidarity Singers of the NJ Industrial Union Council.\nFor more information \, contact nocompressorstation@gmail.com or 973-338-5398.
