DESCRIPTION:September 19 & 20\, 2019\n35 Cleveland St\, Orange\, NJ\, 07050 \nThe HUUB\,​ at First UU of Essex County\, is an anchor institution in Orange\, NJ\, connecting local assets to build community and strengthen democracy towards a more just\, equitable\, and compassionate world. We are part of a local collaborative that recognizes the need for an alternative development plan in the city focused on preserving existing assets by finding resources and tools that can be used to invest in what is here. We believe thePathways2Ownership​ process can be one of those tools. \nPathways2Ownership​ is a pre-development assessment and capacity building process designed to generate\, fund\, and scale community building projects by an ​invested publicTM \nHUUB CAP​ is our Capital Campaign to raise money to make improvements to our buildings.HUUB BLOCK​ is a Capital Campaign to raise money for improvements and investments in our neighborhood\, and specifically our block of Cleveland St.\, and could be an example for others in our Orange and Unitarian Universalist communities. \nAgenda \nThursday\, Sept 19th\n9-9:30am — Coffee\, Tea and Overview of Thursday and Friday\n9:30am — Introducing ​Pathways2Ownership ​&​ ​Invested Public FundingTM\, using HUUB CAP \nand HUUB BLOCK\n10:00-11:30am — ​HUUB CAP Project​: Capacity Assessment and Generating IFP Initiatives 11:30-12:30pm — ​HUUB BLOCK​: Walking Score of led by HUUB describing the people\, place\, \nand systems that are embodied in this “block” approach planned by HUUB and potentially \nfunded by invested public \nLunch: 12:30-1:00pm \n1:00-1:45pm — Planning to Stay Report Back\, What draws you to this block\, what is needed to sustain your place in this block?
