DESCRIPTION:From Tues. Aug. 16 through Saturday Aug. 20\, we’ll walk from Newark to Elizabeth\, to Woodbridge\, to Old Bridge\, and finally to Red Bank\, just across the river from Governor Murphy’s home\, where we’ll call on him to stop the 7 major fossil fuel projects threatening our communities and climate.  If permitted these 7 projects would increase NJ’s total greenhouse gas pollution by 38%!  \nAs the Climate Walk travels\, we will engage in daily community rallies\, educational events and other actions to uplift and amplify the determined struggles being waged throughout the state for clean air\, healthy communities\, and a rapid shift away from fossil fuels to jobs-creating clean renewable energy solutions. You can join for a portion or the entirety of the walk. Think of it as a mini-retreat.
