Yes!\n↓ ↓ ↓ RSVP Below ↓ ↓ ↓\nWe need all hands on deck! We need your help to support offshore wind in NJ as fossil fuel interests try to delay our clean energy transition.\n\nWhy This Matters: The climate crisis is putting our oceans and NJ communities in danger. One of the best ways we can fight climate change is through the equitable and safe development of renewable energy\, including offshore wind projects. Environmentally responsible offshore wind energy projects can spur economic development\, create jobs in coastal communities\, improve energy security\, and cut climate-destabilizing pollution. But to protect their own interests\, the fossil fuel industry is doing everything it can to delay the development of offshore wind–including spreading misinformation about offshore wind to stall our transition to clean energy. Fossil fuel opponents to clean energy are putting personal greed over the health of us all.\n\nWe need a clean energy transition NOW and offshore wind is NJ’s best defense against climate change. We need you to make your voice heard in support of offshore wind and a clean energy and safe climate future for NJ. More than 60 UUCM’ers had signed up to travel to Providence to celebrate Rev Charlie’s retirement during the 2020 UUA General Assembly. The lockdown for Covid 19 canceled that party\, but now we have invited Rev Charlie to come back to Montclair. Those who knew Rev Charlie\, or those simply interested in hearing stories from one of our beloved former leaders\, will gather to hear stories\, ask questions and warmly welcome back one of our past ministers. \nSuggested donation is $30/person. \nWe have also added an extra option to Be a Party Booster. For an additional $20\, these funds will go to party decorations\, etc. and/or the Ortman Fund. If you have already registered\, please edit your registration to add this option. \nShare your reflections on former UUCM Rev. Ortman \nThe Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair is thrilled to welcome back former Rev. Charlie Ortman this spring as we celebrate our 125th Anniversary.
