We’ll call on Gov. Murphy to issue a total stop work order for the ongoing illegal construction activity on the West Milford compressor station. Again\, we’ll call on the Governor and Department of Environmental Protection to REJECT this project which could pollute the drinking water for nearly 4 million residents\, pollute the land and air\, and intensify climate impacts. \nLast month\, the NJ Superior Court ruled that the Department of Environmental Protection should not have issued a Highlands Act exemption to Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) to build its massive East 300 pipeline expansion project in the Highlands Preservation Area. \nThis watershed decision comes after years of organizing from residents and activists across the region who have been fighting plans for this massive pipeline expansion project in NJ.
