SUMMARY:Reparations Council Meeting: Segregation in New Jersey Committee
DESCRIPTION:Support NJISJ Reparations Council! \nThe New Jersey Institute for Social Justice (NJISJ) earlier this year–in response to the lack of movement by state legislators on the bill to create a Reparations Task Force to study and recommend legislation in NJ–founded a Reparations Council. The New Jersey Reparations Council is actively doing the work that a statewide Reparations Task Force would be charged to do. The Council is composed of nine committees and each committee will present on their focus area in nine public sessions. \nThe second public session will be December 4\, 2023 at 6:30pm on Zoom. This session focuses on segregation in New Jersey. \nWe encourage all UUs to register to attend the public session (which will also provide access to a recording of the session for later viewing). \nRegister at https://bit.ly/NJRCSession2.
