DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, September 09 \n4pm-6pm \nBayshore Waterfront Park•719 Port Monmouth Rd\, Port Monmouth\, NJ \nRegister \n  \nJoin us at the Raritan Bayshore Waterfront Park to show our strength and solidarity in opposition to the newly-revived effort to build more harmful fossil fuel infrastructure in our area. \nThe Williams Companies is once again seeking permission to build a gas pipeline through the Raritan Bay – The proposal also calls for a dangerous compressor station in Somerset County and new pipeline in Middlesex County. We already defeated this dangerous and unnecessary fossil fuel project\, but now that Trump is back in the White House\, he’s pushing to fast-track it and we need to move quickly to stop it again. \nWe need Governor Murphy and his Department of Environmental Protection to deny the critical water quality permits that are required for this project to proceed\, so this rally will take place the day before the DEP’s one and only public hearing\, to raise awareness and draw attention to this fight.

Whether we have arranged accompany Friends ahead of time or meeting friends for the first time in the court waiting rooms\, we provide vital information and solidarity to those facing the system while sending a message to ICE\, the courts\, and the world that we see what is happening in the halls of injustice\, we are holding the government accountable\, and we will never stop standing with our friends. \n  \nAll US citizens (non-citizens\, please check with a lawyer before participating) are welcome to join us in our courthouse efforts. We are especially in need of bilingual individuals and faith leaders\, so if you have any friends who fit this category\, please refer them to the Get Involved page on our website.
