DESCRIPTION:Friday\, November 14\, 2025\n9:00 am – 11:00 am PT | 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm ET\nZoom\nRegister \nCalling all community defenders! Join us on Friday\, November 14 for a free virtual training on how habeas petitions can be used to challenge unlawful immigration detention. Training participants will learn the basic elements of a pro se petition and common scenarios defenders may encounter. The session will be held in English with simultaneous Spanish interpretation. \nThis training will help community defenders understand how habeas petitions are used in the immigration detention context and go over the basic elements of a pro se petition for the most common scenarios. \nThis training is for non-attorney advocates\, including organizers\, and others supporting detained community members. This training will be presented in English with Spanish simultaneous interpretation and is not eligible for CLE credit. \nQuestions? Please contact events@nipnlg.org.
