DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for Symposium 2024! \nThis year we continue our experiment in offering multi-locational\, hybrid education\, structuring a program that supports the full participation of persons who may gather either online or at one of two locations on opposite ends of the country. Registration is open now. \nThree Attendance Options \n\nWest Coast – Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists\nEast Coast – The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Montclair\, New Jersey\nOnline via Zoom\n\nBravely Facing This Moment: Defending and Renewing Democracy \nWe are preparing a timely Symposium in which we will explore together both what it may mean to defend democracy from threats of authoritarianism and Christian nationalism\, as well as what it may mean to renew democracy through richer practices of engagement. As such\, we aim to balance the program between diagnosis of the current threats and practical guidance on how to live more democratically\, even in the mundane and the everyday.
