Murphy’s proposed budget moves to the state legislature for hearings over the next few weeks. \nBefore the first NJ Senate Budget public hearing\, join advocates\, community leaders\, and impacted residents to demand a fair and more resilient NJ budget. Gov. Murphy’s proposed budget includes much-needed revenue increases that help prevent devastating cuts to schools\, transit\, healthcare\, and other critical services—but we need to go further. Without bold action\, NJ faces more cuts that will hurt working families and make our state unaffordable for all but the wealthy. A strong state budget—rooted in progressive revenues—ensures we aren’t left scrambling when federal dollars disappear. \nJoin us at the NJIT Student Center in Newark to send a clear message: Protect revenues. Invest in New Jerseyans. Let’s pass a budget that can weather any storm.
