For some time, we have been working to publicize and build support for a Rehabilitative Release Act, Senate Bill 2338/Assembly Bill 4463, in our NJ Legislature. We have collected petition signatures and called and emailed our legislators on Action Friday. As we approach the gubernatorial and legislative elections in November and the “lame duck” legislative session following that, we are ramping up for the next push.
Rev. Amos Caley, from the 2nd Look NJ campaign and Salvation and Social Justice, has written a memo detailing the background and purpose of this bill.
