Join the Garden State Equality Volunteer Network as we partner with League of Women Voters of New Jersey (LWVNJ)! This training is perfect for anyone who is new to advocating for legislation or any veteran grassroots lobbyist looking for a refresher on how laws are made in the Garden State. We’ll provide an overview of the structure and powers of the New Jersey Legislature, explain how bills advance through each chamber, teach you how to research and track legislation, and help you get started lobbying your legislators.
