On Wednesday, Dalfen Industrial sat in our town and told us there was no deal. Less than 48 hours later, we found out the truth: They sold our community out to the DHS for a paycheck. They held our town’s safety and people’s lives ransom for a tax cut, and when they didn’t get their way, they signed the papers in the dark.

We are not moving. We are not yielding. We are their new reality.

Dalfen Industrial thinks they can walk away from Roxbury with their pockets full while we live with the consequences of a mass detention center in our backyard. They are wrong. We are going to be the most persistent, unending nightmare this company has ever faced.

We are gathering at the heart of our local government—less than a mile from the site—to show that Roxbury stands united. We are calling on our local officials to use every zoning law, every permit denial, and every legal hurdle possible to make this facility impossible to operate.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
