In 2020, UU FaithAction NJ (formerly UU Legislative Ministry of NJ) will celebrate its 10th anniversary as an agent of progressive, life-and-love affirming change here in the Garden State. A decade after its creation, UU FaithAction NJ has become one of the preeminent faith voices for humanitarian values in our home state, and passed its first ever UU-sponsored and championed piece of legislation in the NJ Statehouse.
But we are looking ahead, not behind, and in order to meet tomorrow’s challenges, we are hosting our first annual gala, an Eco-Gala, as both a fundraiser and celebration of UU justice ministry. To mark this special event, we will be honoring all ministers and congregational leaders in New Jersey for their many commitments to justice-making across the state.
We hope you will mark your calendars now! This celebratory event takes place at 6:30 pm, Friday, January 10, 2020 (snow date January 24) at Beacon UU Congregation in Summit, located at 4 Waldron Avenue.
Tickets are on sale now, at $100 per ticket with a sliding scale from $45 to $150. Free infant and child care on site will also be provided. Tickets for children 18 and under attending the event are $15 per child. Dinner will include vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options as well as a cash bar.
