Big Oil Blocks NJ Accountability Bill

We got very close, and it’s not over! Thanks to you, over the past eighteen months, people of faith across New Jersey have helped move the Polluters Pay to Make NJ Affordable Act (S2338/A3735) further than any climate accountability bill has ever advanced in our state. The legislation passed all four committees required before reaching the full Legislature, but the bill did not pass before the July 1 start of the legislature’s summer recess. Faith leaders will press for the bill to be brought to a vote in the Senate and the Assembly upon their return in September.

Thank you GreenFaith Circle of Southern NJ
In mid June, faith leaders from South Jersey met with the Legislative Director for Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald to urge support for the Polluters Pay bill.
